FAQs

Really, besides the name, what else has changed?

The same favourite Peanut Butter that Australians love is now Aussie owned, other than that, nothing else has changed! Bega purchased the Peanut Butter factory and recipe and continues to make the same favourite Peanut Butter that Australia loves.

Where can I buy Bega Peanut Butter?

You can find Bega Peanut Butter at Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and selected IGA stores in Australia or from selected New World, Countdown and Pak n Save stores in New Zealand.

Where is Bega Peanut Butter made?

Bega Peanut Butter is made in Port Melbourne, Australia.

Where do the peanuts in Bega Peanut Butter come from?

We make it a priority to source Australian ingredients where possible, including our nuts! Australian peanuts are in extremely short supply so we are working hard with our Aussie farmers to help increase peanut production.

Our most popular Peanut Butter contains at least 85% peanuts which are sourced from Australia and Argentina.

For those who love 100% Aussie goodness, our Bega Simply Nuts range is made from 100% Australian Peanuts grown in Queensland and a pinch of sea salt.

For specific information on ingredient origin, refer to the label of your favourite product or visit Our Range.

We also make sure that none of our peanut butter products contain any GMO ingredients, artificial colours or flavours.

Is Bega Peanut Butter suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans?

Yes! All Bega Peanut Butter products are suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.

Is Bega Peanut Butter Gluten Free?

It sure is!

How do I store Bega Peanut Butter?

Our original Bega Peanut Butter is shelf stable and once opened, can be stored in the pantry right up until the best before date listed on pack. We wouldn’t recommend keeping it in the fridge, as it makes it harder to spread.

Can I recycle my Bega Peanut Butter jar?

Absolutely! You can recycle the lid and the jar and help do your part for our planet. We always recommend checking with your local council on their recycling guidelines.
